Hi, I'm Chiara
I'm a project manager. I'm a parent. An expat based in Florence, Italy.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
The Beginning
Moving to Italy wasn’t part of the long-term plan. Like many expat moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
The initial months were intense — unfamiliar systems, new routines, new expectations. Daily tasks felt more complex than they should.
The Adaptation Phase
There was cultural adjustment, doubt, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually our routines took shape. We found spots that fit us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Created Timber Nectar Haven
Most online guidance was either corporate relocation tips or shallow travel content. What was lacking was a genuine everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Italy.
